Psylotech’s µTS is a sophisticated miniature universal test system. All systems share certain common features:

标准版 Standard (1.6kN to 10kN)

 
The Standard µTS has somewhat reduced functionality compared to the Premium system. It implements a precision rolled (vs. precision ground) screw and a traditional strain gauged load cell. Displacement is measured via the 26 bit rotary encoder and the screw pitch. Without local displacement measurement, nano positioning is not available. The Standard system can be upgraded to a Premium system in whole or in part at any time.

 

 

高级版 Premium(1.6kN to 10kN)

 
The Premium µTS is an excellent tool for meso-scale testing. Its high resolution capacitive bridge load cell offers 100x higher resolution compared to strain gauged sensors. The displacement sensor implements pitch and yaw compensation, such that sensor measures displacement on axis with the specimen. Since measurements are made downstream of the ball nut, the µTS can achieve nanometer scale closed loop control from a large stroke ballscrew actuator. The direct drive ballscrew servo is also fast, with speeds comparable to servohydraulics.

 

 

扫描电镜原位加载版 SEM (1.6 to 5kN)

 
The SEM µTS is vacuum hardened for scanning electron microscopy. It has a smaller footprint and accommodates an optional Picomotor controlled Y-Z stage. The Picomotors are capable of 30nm open loop control. The Y-Z stage is important for mounting small scale samples.

 

The µTS is a versatile platform. Its modularity enables customization to researcher’s specific needs, including temperature control, increased speed, or specimen centering.
